Kyocera ECOSYS MA4000cix overview
The Kyocera ECOSYS MA4000cix is an A4 colour multifunction system for copying, printing and scanning. Kyocera rates colour output at 40 A4 pages per minute. The model includes a seven-inch touch panel and a 100-sheet one-pass duplex document processor. Its cix suffix matters: fax is available only on the separate MA4000cifx, so the listing does not describe fax as a fitted function.
Specifications and workflow
- Functions. This MA4000cix handles colour printing, copying and scanning. The manufacturer states that fax is exclusive to the MA4000cifx variant.
- A4 colour speed. The exact MA4000cix model is rated at 40 colour A4 pages per minute, compared with 35 ppm for the MA3500cix.
- Print resolution. The print specification lists 1,200 by 1,200 dpi for detailed text, graphics and colour office output.
- Control panel. A seven-inch touchscreen provides device controls and access to the supported copy, print and scan tasks.
- Standard input. The base paper supply is 350 sheets, divided into one 250-sheet cassette and a 100-sheet multipurpose tray.
- Maximum input. Three optional 550-sheet feeders raise the rated total paper input capacity to 2,000 sheets.
- Paper size. The cassette and multipurpose tray accept up to Folio or Legal size paper; this is an A4-class machine, not an A3 copier.
- Duplex. Two-sided print support runs from A6R through A4 or Legal within the stated 60 to 163 g/m² weight range.
- Document processor. The 100-sheet one-pass duplex document processor scans both sides of each original efficiently.
- First print. Kyocera lists first-print times of 5.4 seconds for monochrome and 6.6 seconds for colour on the MA4000cix family.
- Network and USB. Built-in connections include 10/100/1000 Ethernet and USB 2.0 for shared or local office use.
- Mobile printing. The network specification explicitly lists AirPrint and Mopria support for compatible mobile devices.
- Scan destinations. The colour scanner supports delivery to email, FTP, a PC or USB, plus TWAIN and WIA scanning.
