The Kyocera TASKalfa 3252ci is an A3 colour multifunction system with standard copying, printing and scanning. Kyocera specifies 32 A4 pages per minute in both colour and monochrome. Its specifications describe the base machine separately from optional document processors, paper feeders and fax equipment, so the installed configuration should be checked before ordering accessories.

Specifications and workflow

• Functions. Copying, printing and colour scanning are standard functions. Fax requires the optional fax system and is not assumed to be installed.
• A4 speed. Kyocera rates A4 output at up to 32 pages per minute for colour jobs and the same speed for monochrome jobs.
• Paper size. The machine handles A3 originals for copying and scanning. Its listed cassette and multipurpose paper ranges extend as far as SRA3.
• Standard input. Standard paper input is 1,150 sheets, divided between two 500-sheet cassettes and a 150-sheet multipurpose tray for other media.
• Maximum input. With Kyocera's specified optional paper feeders, maximum input reaches 7,150 sheets. That figure is an expansion limit, not base capacity.
• Duplex. Automatic duplex printing covers the manufacturer's stated range from A6R to SRA3, subject to the supported paper-weight limits.
• Print resolution. The print specification lists 1,200 × 1,200 dpi. Copy resolution is separately stated as 600 × 600 dpi.
• Control panel. A 9-inch colour touch LCD is the control panel for selecting copy, print and scan workflows at the device.
• Network and USB. The standard interface includes Gigabit Ethernet, high-speed USB 2.0 and USB host connections for local and network use.
• Mobile printing. Kyocera's mobile-printing list includes Apple AirPrint, Mopria and KYOCERA Mobile Print for supported phones and computers.
• Scan destinations. Scan destinations include email, SMB folders, FTP and USB. TWAIN and WSD scanning are also listed in the manufacturer specification.
