The Kyocera TASKalfa 4550ci is a colour multifunction system for office documents through A3/Ledger size. Kyocera's US specification rates it at 45 pages per minute on Letter paper in both colour and black and white. Specifications and workflow

• Functions. Print, copy and colour scan are core functions; faxing requires the optional fax system.
• Letter speed. The manufacturer specifies 45 pages per minute on Letter paper in colour and monochrome.
• A3/Ledger speed. On Ledger-size paper, Kyocera's separate speed rating is 22 pages per minute.
• Standard input. Two 500-sheet trays and a 150-sheet multipurpose tray give 1,150 sheets of standard input.
• Maximum input. Optional paper sources can raise the maximum capacity to 7,650 sheets.
• Media size. Kyocera lists paper support through 12 by 18 inches, with a separate single-sheet banner capability.
• Duplex. A standard stackless duplex unit handles its stated paper-size and weight range.
• Resolution. Native image resolution is 600 × 600 dpi; Kyocera also describes an interpolated 9,600 × 600 dpi mode.
• First copy. The first-copy rating is 4.7 seconds in black and white and 6.0 seconds in colour.
• Memory. Standard memory is 2 GB RAM, accompanied by dual 160 GB hard disks in Kyocera's specification.
• Connections. Standard interfaces include Gigabit Ethernet, high-speed USB 2.0 and two USB host connections.
• Scan delivery. The colour scanner supports email, SMB folders, FTP and USB destinations, with WSD and TWAIN scan options.
• Document feeder. Kyocera lists 100-sheet reversing and 175-sheet dual-scan document processors as options, not standard inclusions.
