Ricoh Aficio MP 305+ SPF

Ricoh Aficio MP 305+ SPF overview

The Ricoh Aficio MP 305+ SPF is a compact black-and-white multifunction system rated at up to 30 A4 pages per minute. It combines print, copy, colour scan and fax functions with Ricoh’s Smart Operation Panel. Its small main body works with A4 paper in the cassette, while the manufacturer also specifies an A3 bypass path.

Output and paper size

The print engine handles everyday monochrome office output at its 30 ppm A4 rating. A3 originals and sheets require the applicable bypass or original path rather than the standard A4 cassette. Automatic two-sided printing reduces the need to turn supported sheets manually. The device’s print resolution is specified at up to 600 × 600 dpi for crisp office text and graphics.

Paper supply

Standard input is 260 sheets, with optional expansion to 760 sheets. The bypass path extends the range of media the compact machine can handle, including A3 sheets in the manufacturer’s specification. An automatic document feeder moves multi-page originals into the copier and scanner. The exact original handling available depends on the feeder fitted to the supplied unit.

Scanning and fax

Ricoh’s colour scanner can digitise documents even though printed and copied output is black and white. The multifunction design adds fax to print, copy and scan rather than requiring a separate fax device. Network scan destinations are available for moving electronic files to office systems. Ricoh quotes colour scanning of up to 30 images per minute for the specified document path.

System and operation

A 10.1-inch Smart Operation Panel provides a touch interface for the machine’s functions. The manufacturer lists 2 GB of standard memory and a 320 GB hard disk for document processing and storage. Gigabit Ethernet and USB are specified for wired network and local connections. These capacities describe the MP 305+ SPF itself and do not imply that optional paper drawers are installed.
