The Develop ineo 227 is a monochrome A3 multifunction copier for network printing, copying and colour scanning. DEVELOP rates its A4 output at up to 22 pages per minute and its A3 output at up to 14 pages per minute. The manufacturer’s configuration options allow paper input, fax and finishing to be tailored to the office.

Printing and copying

Copying is specified at 600 × 600 dpi, while the print controller supports an enhanced 1,800-equivalent × 600 dpi mode. The rated 22 ppm A4 speed differs from the 14 ppm A3 figure because of the larger sheet format. An embedded 1.2 GHz controller processes jobs and supports the manufacturer’s PCL 6, PostScript 3 and XPS print languages. Automatic duplexing handles supported A5-to-A3 media.

Paper supply

Two standard 500-sheet cassettes and a 100-sheet manual bypass provide 1,100 sheets before any add-on units are fitted. Supported optional trays increase total input to 3,600 sheets. Additional finishing units offer stapling, punching or booklet production when those modules are installed.

Scanning and fax

The colour scanner is rated at up to 45 originals per minute, with delivery paths including email, SMB folders, FTP and USB. A document feeder handling up to 100 originals is available, including a reversing ADF option. Super G3 fax is an optional feature with supported digital reception and PC-fax workflows; fax hardware is not assumed in the base listing.

System and network

The machine has 2 GB of standard memory and a 250 GB hard disk. Gigabit Ethernet and USB 2.0 are standard interfaces; Wi-Fi is optional. DEVELOP lists a recommended monthly copy/print volume of 10,000 pages for this model. Its multi-touch control panel can be adapted for commonly used tasks, and the manufacturer lists security features for document handling on a shared network.
